Michele Smith has been elected President-Elect of the Jefferson County Bar Association for 2010-2011.  She served as President of the Jefferson County Young Lawyer's Association from 2000-2001.  Having joined MehaffyWeber in 1993, Michele has more than 16 years of diverse jury trial experience. She represents clients in general civil litigation, with a concentration in complex mass tort litigation (asbestos, benzene, butadiene) and products liability. She has handled matters in state and federal court involving products and premise liability, nursing home litigation and pharmaceutical defense.

Michele is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She has been a shareholder with the firm since 1999 and currently serves on the firm's Management Committee.  She is an advocate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), Houston Chapter.

Andrew Norman was elected Treasurer of the Jefferson County Bar Association Young Lawyer Board for 2010-2011.  Andrew joined MehaffyWeber in 2008 upon his graduation from the University of Houston Law Center.  He practices in the firm's business department.  His primary practice areas include corporate, real estate, estate planning and probate, tax and commercial litigation. 

Andrew graduated from Texas Christian University, cum laude, in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics.  He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston School of Law in 2008.  While at the University of Houston, he was a member of the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal.
